Björn Einarsson
Björn is an Icelandic local who has guided visitors along the South Coast since 2022, and who has worked as a professional guide since 2020. By his own count he has taken more than 1,000 international travellers down the road to Reynisfjara, in calm summer light and in winter gales. His ground is the practical, safety-first side of this coast: where the sneaker waves reach, why the beach catches people out, how the road behaves in each season, and what actually makes a good day trip. Ask him the one rule that matters at Reynisfjara and the answer is short. Never turn your back on the ocean.
The traveller count is Björn's own figure. The rating and review count are the operator's current GetYourGuide listing data, not ours.
What Björn does and does not do here
Plainly: Björn guides on Iceland's South Coast, but he does not lead the specific coach tour this site features. That bookable listing belongs to the operator BusTravel Iceland. Björn's role here is research and verification. He knows the coast and the beach firsthand, so he checks the featured listing the way a working guide would, without pretending to stand at the front of its bus.
That distinction matters to us. A guide claiming firsthand experience it does not have is the exact thing we built this site to avoid.
How this site checks its facts
Every figure on this site traces to a real source. The tour's rating, review count, stops, pickup details, inclusions and cancellation terms come from the operator's official GetYourGuide listing, and we re-check them rather than letting them drift. Where a value moves, like the price for a given date and currency, we send you to the live listing instead of freezing a number that could go stale. Safety facts come from Iceland's official sources, safetravel.is and the warning signage at the beach.
We are also honest about the 2026 changes. When storms and a slope collapse reshaped the beach, we updated the pages rather than keep showing old powder-sand photos. You can see that in the 2026 update.
